I thought rotting barges (wood) weren't too much of a problem. There are waterways around Staten island filled with them. Isn't the problem the rusting metal ones?

awesome shot.

dasmart, any chance you would share that photo for use as a wallpaper (1600 x 1200)?

aargh...my head is still spinning. I went to read up on HDR and photoshop. I got lost between tonal mapping & tripod. Gorgeous photo- there's been a lot of great ones on brownstoner. How about a Brooklyn photo feature, Jon? Let people post their work?

Amazing picture. Would look great framed and hung on my wall. And much nicer to talk about than population density at AY!

Or red hook.

I want to learn how they do that! check out the photographer's web site. That's how I got off into researching HDR and I have still have no clue how to do it. Sad. So much technical information, so few brain cells.
