Development Watch: 574 4th Avenue Gets Going

574_4th_Ave_08_08.jpg
Last we looked, this Henry Radusky-designed project was nothing more than a hole in the ground, with crews working away on the foundation. Things are progressing here, though Radusky's office didn't return calls or requests to see a rendering. Their most recent DOB filing confirms a 12-story, 80-unit building, and the Concerned Citizens of Greenwood Heights Web site has pictures of the spot over the years.

How about an "Inside 574 4th Avenue" feature? At least something appears to be happening on this site!

I live down the block...there is always a flurry of activity going on there, even on Saturdays. It looks like it is going to be huge - probably on the same scale as the project going up on 13th and 4th.

I heard from a resident of the block they were told it was slated for completion sometime in 2010.

Good - as someone who used to live half a block from there, this is one particular area that can only be improved by residential development. Maybe when these buildings are done, the M train won't be so lonely in the morning anymore.
