Closing Bell: Reality TV Finds Architecture

We have reality shows about surviving on desert islands, remaking bodies and faces and homes, about singers, environmentalists, bachelors and bachelorettes...everybody, it seems, except for architects. Oops, scratch that. They now have their own reality series, as well, this one on the Sundance Channel and following third- and fourth-year Tulane architecture students as they try to design and build affordable housing for Katrina survivors—a nice break from watching contestants try to swallow bugs or get a date with Tila Tequila, and their designs are quite beautiful. Architecture School premiered this week, and you can see a sample episode here.
