Closing Bell: Community Pride Day in Bed-Stuy

The folks at Bed Stuy's Project Re-Generation, or PR-G, have planned a kind of neighborhood pep rally tomorrow, the 6th Annual Community Pride Day. AIG and the New York Knicks co-sponsored the event, held from 11:00AM to 6:00PM at Von King Park. Besides the free food and games, there will be appearances by a coupla past and present Knicks themselves, including John Starks. Other groups will be there to provide information for local residents, including the Girl Scouts, Children of Promise, Urban Word and Planned Parenthood.

Uh, wouldn't this be better to do on a weekend maybe and not during a weekday? Don't people have jobs?
