Avalon Myrtle Hit With Stop Work Order

Work ground to a halt on Monday at the Avalon Bay site at the corner of Flatbush and Myrtle. The 650-unit rental project was hit with a Stop Work Order for operating with an expired Sheeting and Shoring permit. No doubt it'll be resolved quickly and the march toward 42 stories will continue. At least, for the developers, they made the 421-a cut-off back in June.

Hey Fucktards get a load of this! You see this is your future.
City lets residents stay in building nearly condemned
http://www1.wsvn.com/news/articles/local/MI93172/
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Residents of a condo complex will be able to stay after code enforcement nearly condemned their building because it was too dangerous to live in.
Why you ask? The whole Miami Condo market has collapsed! Leaving people with high Maintenance fees and unsold units.
"Burgos moved into the building a year ago, and he said it was thriving then. But then people started having trouble paying their mortgages and let their condos go into foreclosure. Then came the problems,"
What problems?
"Empty units had their appliances stolen and homeless people broke in and began living in abandoned units, vandalizing the building. The homeowner's association could not afford to pay the management company with so few residents paying maintenance for the building."
Yep, it''s so different, I wonder something, how many Asshats are going to buy into this place in these financial conditions? Is this Condo complex will be a future "Homeless Shelter" Time will tell..
The What (Tick.. Tick.. Tick...)

Umm, this is the future.
Hey Brownstoner, long time no talk! How are you doing, fine i hope (I really mean that). I wonder something Brownie, how are you going to shift when the market really tanks? I know this thought has crossed your mind and I'm just wondering.
Oh BTW this project started off as Condos......

Mr. B,
Can we PLEASE get an "ignore user" function (or better yet, could you just ban the What? I'm really sick of reading "fucktard" and "asshat" before lunch.
Thanks.

What, you're not only annoying and stupid, but you're wrong as well. This is an AvalonBay communities project. When did they start building condos? Guess what, "What"....they didn't. This project has been a rental since day one....

"This is an AvalonBay communities project"
FtGreeneCorey I know you just moved in last year, LMMFAO!
Let me ask you one question, why spend all that money and build 43 stories for rentals? Next thing the developers look at the current market and said "we will build rentals". This project was delayed several times and cost the developers money. There is a hard credit crunch going on!

Just ignore my posts, dumbass. If what I write bothers you so much then don't comment on it. I so tired of whining Asshats!

I can't tell whether I am supposed to be more afraid of homeless people ransacking condos or Brownstone neighborhoods being over run by hooligans. Which is it What?
Someday this bore won't offend...

Assclown,
It'd be easier to ignore your clusterfuck of garbage "posts" if they were of reasonable length instead of the long, useless cut-and-paste jobs of random articles that have nothing to do with the topic at hand.
Not only are you a misinformed mental midget, you're a tool and a pathetic joke.
Enjoy your sad life.

Nice theory, What - but you should really do a bit more research. Avalon Bay is a REIT - all they do is build rentals. They don't build condos - ever. So as long as this site has been owned by them, it's been a rental. I'm sure there were other sites in downtown brooklyn that were orignially thought of as Condos that are now rentals (cough... Oro II... cough) but not this one. SO it may require a bit of patience on your part, but why don't you save up your venom on this topic until there's a posting about one of those projects - where your "insight" would at least be somewhat relevant, which is not the case here.

MMHTP Is correct. Avolon Bay is a REIT, oil is down to $119 a barrel from $145. The commodities bubble is popping. The US economy is near its bottom and is on the way to recover as history has proven in the past.
