The video of that woman dying in Kings County Hospital is appalling. I can only hope that this will result in better treatment for psychiatric patients. The city hospitals are often the last resort for our society's most vulnerable citizens and better care is sorely needed.

The way that woman died in Kings County was just crazy. The staff members who were responsible for observing her were fired but they should be prosecuted as well.
This was a not a case of them being overworked or of being responsible for too many patients either. It was just pure laziness and apathy. May that women find the peace in death that she obviously never found in life.

You sure about that photo being in Bay Ridge? The bridge seems a little far off and that pier looks a lot like the one in Red Hook.

12:52, I believe this photo was taken near Owls Head Park in Bay Ridge.

Isn't this the 69th st pier?
I used to fish there as a kid in the late 70's. We used a soda can with a hook and sinker. We would wrap the line around the soda can and cast by hold one half of the can and throw the can out. The line would spin off the can.
I visited the pier few weeks ago for the first time after 30 years, no cans anymore?
