StreetLevel: Brooklyn Circus Expands in Boerum Hill

brooklyn-circus-07-2008.jpg
The clothing store Brooklyn Circus is expanding in Boerum Hill, but it's not straying too far from its original location. Tomorrow night the store is having an opening party for its new location on the corner of Nevins and Bergen, less than half a block from its original Bergen Street shop (inset). The streetwear retailer opened its original, tiny storefront in 2006, and it plans to keep that space in business while adding more women's clothing to the new shop, a former car service.

It's not my personal style, but I've always thought these guys have run a great and interesting store. It has a nice vibe.

Just noticed that they have another store in San Fran also.

I agree Boreum Hill...not my style, but I've heard great things about them.

I've always been intrigued by it when I've ridden by on the B65, I'll have to make a point of stopping into the new location. They carry some nice brands.

These may be some of the hardest working people in BK in trying to get their place going. I'm impressed every time (morning and night) I walk by.
Wishing I had the SMB drive they have.

"Two guys shot each other at the opening party Friday night." That sounds quite cinematic. Like a dual or something at noon in the wild west. sweetjane, you have great imagination. I'm lying.
