This isn't exactly front-page news, but, hey, it's a slow news week and, well, it is an eye-catching awning!

"This isn't exactly front-page news"

Nope it's Frontstreet news ;-)

Why no more rentals highlighted?

Posted by: guest at July 2, 2008 2:55 PM

In before the crapflood!

If slow news day, why not run up to Manhattan Bridge and get pic of the new plaza park by the entrance to pedestrian path on Brooklyn side. Seems now opened with no fanfair.

How about a write-up and pictures on the new La Taq at Berkeley and 7th Avenue. Totally renovated with a high end bar and 100 tequilas to choose from.

No mention yet of the Carroll Gardens movie shoot on Court and Degraw either...

This awning keeps AC condensation drippage off of people going into Foragers.

It redirects it to everyone walking down the sidewalk.

Nice, millionaire's vermillion.
DUMBO's where it's at if you got the scratch.

This is a new low point for Brownstoner. The Bushwick blog is much more interesting.

Yet you continue to read and post on Brownstoner.

Dumblows.

Posted by: guest at July 2, 2008 4:07 PM

This is boring. Let's talk about the rampaging lawless punk thugs that are marauding around Brooklyn causing unlimited amounts of terror and fear for the average hard working law abiding Brooklynite.

My pit bull had his collar stolen on South Portland Street.

Posted by: guest at July 2, 2008 4:55 PM

and no mention of the rededication of the longshoreman's flagpole saved from the construction at 340 court street, but hey, nice awning

Posted by: guest at July 2, 2008 5:53 PM

"Let's talk about the rampaging lawless punk thugs"

Sorry, I haven't seen any. Methinks the reports are, shall we say, greatly exagerated.

Posted by: guest at July 2, 2008 6:09 PM

Hey does anyone know where I can buy a 6 dollar organic banana?

Posted by: guest at July 2, 2008 7:44 PM

hey, the longshoremen were the original "rampaging lawless punk thugs". Not really punk, but still thugs.

will 3:07 please stop spamming about la taq and the 100 tequilas to choose from. i own a business in park slope and never mention it. i am going to start a non sanctioned brownstoner boycott of this place if you don't stop.

Posted by: mule at July 2, 2008 11:35 PM

I'm with mule. The fake buzz is so transparent I have avoided the place.

Posted by: guest at July 3, 2008 8:11 AM

Brownstoner,
If it's slow on news, then why don't you report the price chopping at Forte? - unless that's off-limits for some reason...

Posted by: guest at July 3, 2008 9:15 AM

will mule and 8:11 please stop trying to infringe upon our freedom of speech.

everyone here is free to comment on what they choose. if you don't like it, skip it and go to the next.

it's an anonymous freakin blog, you idiots.

I like the new awning. It gives the block some 'pop' and adds to the beauty of an already cool looking storefront. I heart Dumbo :-)

Freedom of speech is only guaranteed by the government, 10:57, not private blogs. This is not an issue of free speech, but of annoying spammers trying to get free ad space. In fact, I think YOU are 3:07, so shaddap (or is that impining on your free speech?).
