Development Watch: 229 North 8th Street

229-North-8th-Street-0708.jpg
You can't turn the corner in Williamsburg without bumping into a Karl Fischer-designed building. You can add another one to the list: 229 North 8th Street. The six-story, 53-unit project is rising at the northeast corner of North 8th and Roebling Streets. The New Building Permit was initially filed way back in 2006, but approvals from the Department of Buildings only came through in March of this year; since then the seven-story building has been flying up. Looks like pretty standard stuff. GMAP P*Shark DOB
