According to "This Old House" ..."Brooklyn real estate, on fire since the 1990s, remains largely unscathed by the national housing crisis. A constant influx of people means the chances of declining property values are slim to none."

So there you go!! How could you not trust what Norm and the crew say??

I agree that today's youth need their clothes to get even bigger. They've already super-sized so shirts end at, and pants begin at, their knees. The only thing left is to ditch the work boots and sneakers for oversized clown shoes.

rap campaign against tight clothes? Gee- wonder how tight clothing affects my real estate values? I see how this article really is relevant to brownstoner- You don't care how you get hits, as long as your site counter keeps going up. And it will thanks to your trolls and the racist a**holes who love this stuff. Good choice, gabby- shows your capacity to focus and pick appropriate material. Really impressive- and yes, I'm being sarcastic.

Homophobic rappers.

"You walk in urban communities... and you see these young people walking around with pants sagging way down below their ass cheeks and underwear showing—what are you selling? That's much more homoerotic than fitted jeans."

Bloomberg wears tight clothes

I don't think these guys know what tight is. Just becuase you can't squeeze a carful of clowns in the spare room of your pants doesn't mean that your clothes are tight.

Truly tight clothes - like the jeans of 1980's British rockers, are pretty gross.

I read the This Old House issue and it was really interesting because in reading the history of the turnaround in all the historic neighborhoods listed as top historic places in the country to get a good deal on a house -- every single one of them described a downturn during the flight to the burbs in the 70's and 80's. And then described a return to towns, a return to people living near each other and walking to historic downtowns and having a social center and active participation in their community. A return to aesthetics of old houses. A rejection of beige-carpeted, cookie-cutter crap.

ALL of these towns ALL over the country had that happen there. It is so not only happening here in Brooklyn. People really reallly need to get over that idea.

Who ever said that it was only happening in Brooklyn 12:02?

re tech-nyu merger approval - the chips continue to fall into place for downtown. very exciting to see this exponentially increasing interest and investment in the area.
