Here Boys & Girls check this out. I long suspected that rents was cheaper in the city. I had a augment with a Asshat about this. I went to Craigslist and use some searches to show my point. Why would you pay 1700.00 a month for a apartment in Clinton Hills when you can get a 1 Bed room in the 90's for that price? Please don't give that BS about you want to live in a "Family Atmosphere". The sad and funny thing that the Asshats ran up the rents in the Ghetto. This was done to justify their madness in this Mutant Real Estate Bubble.

A RENTERS' MARKET
LANDLORDS READY TO OFFER UP DEALS <-- Please remove Flagpole.

Get this..

Wall Street layoffs combined with a glut of new buildings coming on line are finally giving Big Apple renters the upper hand over landlords and brokers, real estate analysts tell The Post.

I was driving last night and I tell you those Condo's are NOT occupied!! The Oro, Forte, The J Building and others had only a couple of lights on... The sad thing is they are still building the Mutants of our financial nightmare but, the chickens are coming home now.......

The What (Open Fire!)

Someday this war is gonna end....

BTW I know some of you are saying that I'm not the real The What,,, I like this version better. This way I can go off without cursing and prove my point. You are finished......

The Real What had a better command of the word asshat, sorry.

Posted by: guest at June 3, 2008 9:11 AM

Initially the tWhat couldn't get his subject/verb agreement sorted out, then he went through a phase of writing more clearly, now he's back to "rents was cheaper" and other assaults on the English language.

He's right though, the falling rents in Manhattan are making the (asked-for) prime Brooklyn rents seem a tad too high.

The Real What also wrote in a distinctly different style.

Try again, poser

Posted by: guest at June 3, 2008 9:27 AM

Agreed, the real what also had less of a command of the english language. Go away pathetic poser.

Posted by: guest at June 3, 2008 9:31 AM

The what never would have pasted a link!! He would have been cutting and pasting that shiznaz in its entirety.

The window washer falls to his death and suddenly his partner needs a translator and is dumb as nails. Yeah ok. Obviously he didnt have the needed permits and now he is clamming up,probably will say he doesnt know his own name. Shame. God rest his partners soul.

Nah. I hate to disagree with you all, but I do. I think this is, indeed, the What.

Ever try to write or draw like a five year old? Can't do it, right?
It has something. It just HAS some little intangible thing that can't be forged.

Same thing here. This is the What.

But why all the fuss about it? Let him be.

Posted by: Nokilissa at June 3, 2008 9:58 AM

I think there's a good chance this may be the real the What.

With the B'stoner curse filter on, and the What's recent fame in, was it New York Magazine, this may be the What restyled with improved social skills.

And I offer points to the What for choosing to continue to participate in a civilized, if edgy, way.

Welcome back to the sandbox.

I agree that this is still the fake What. After so many recent comments on his "too proper" grammar, the fake what is deliberately trying to sound illiterate. Sorry, it just doesn't flow. Be original - try to get your attention on another board.

Whether or not he's the real What or not, I'd rather concentrate on what he says- and his point is right. People (especially on this blog) tend to look down on renters because somehow the idea evolved that if you rent you aren't as smart or as educated or as financially solvent as a homeowner. On the other hand (and I don't know the percentages but I bet it's a majority) of homeowners ae landlords. Add to that all the landlords with major rental holdings (residential), and it's obvious that renters are the bread and butter of "owners."

Unfortunately both groups have nearly always been pitted against each other- we all have horror stories on both sides. landlords see rentals as a money making business and renters treat their rentals as a home. It's easy to see why they clash.

And for a very long time, as rents have been going up and up the impact is felt in many areas- those with the least resources become the most desperate, and each side uses whatever weapons they have (legal and economic,) and everyone loses money and time. somehow there has to be a better system than just market rate vs humanitarian concerns and homelessness because all of this really affects the economic health of the entire city.

What- you can borrow my pail and shovel :-)

What is The What, and why do we care?

"somehow there has to be a better system than just market rate vs humanitarian concerns and homelessness because all of this really affects the economic health of the entire city."

How about offering some concrete solutions? It's easy to label something dysfunctional, but quite another to exact change in the real world.

J Condo is completely sold out and has been for over 18 months -- several resales are now in progress.

Oro hasn't started closings yet, so of course it's unoccupied.

Forte started closings a few weeks ago and is closing on a floor-by-floor basis as construction is completed, so of course it's not fully occupied either.

Seriously -- get your facts straight, whoever or whatever you are.

"J Condo is completely sold out and has been for over 18 months -- several resales are now in progress."

Lie. Drive by there at night. The whole building is dark!

"Oro hasn't started closings yet, so of course it's unoccupied."

And wont!

"Forte started closings a few weeks ago and is closing on a floor-by-floor basis as construction is completed, so of course it's not fully occupied either."

That's a *&%^$$^ lie. The build id move in ready, has been since January. 75% EMPTY!!!

"Seriously -- get your facts straight, whoever or whatever you are."

My name is The What! And your name be.....?
