StreetLevel: Progress at Trader Joe's

The crew working on the Trader Joe's space on Atlantic and Court has boarded up the building's windows, and the only view inside is through a couple cracks in the plywood. A reader sent us an email on Thursday saying work has picked up over the past week, with new equipment like fridges and freezers arriving daily. This was how a small section of the future grocery looked yesterday afternoon.

I agree with 3:40
The "holding thingies" are called "open merchandisers" something I myself just recently learned.

actually in the restaurant/food service industry, the "display cases" are the cases with the big glass fronts that hold prepared foods, baked goods, etc that are usually only accessible from the back by the employees
trust me, I've done a lot of work on this in anticipation of opening a store.

I still can't decide if, from here in the North Slope, TJs on Court is any more convenient than TJs near Union Square...

Doors were open today. Coolers are lined up in the middle of the space but everything else still looks like a demolition zone.
