Quadriad's Williamsburg Terrace Revealed

Quadriad, the development partnership that includes former Bronx Beep Herman Badillo, may or may not ever get special permission to build their tall towers (originally proposed to be 24 stories and later scaled back to 16) on a previously downzoned stretch of Berry Street in Williamsburg. In the meantime, the group is proceeding with the first portion of the project, a five-story as-of-right building at the corner of Bedford Avenue and North 3rd Street. (They've been working on the foundation for a few months now in an effort to make it under the 421-a deadline.) As far as we know, the rendering above is the first look the public has gotten of the project. Waddya think?

Who's the architect for that rendering?

Are those palm trees in the rendering? Someone stole some plans from a Palm Beach development. Williamsburg is getting cooler by the second!

well, it' brick and glass - it actually seems like it could go well with the existing warehouses of which there are several - and a huge rental converted warehouse right there on N. 3rd.
this is also a very good location. will be interesting to see what happens to it in the end.
