Development Watch: 538 Washington Avenue/894 Fulton

894-Fulton-Street-0608.jpg
894-fulton-map.jpgAnother Scarano design is coming to the Southeastern corner of Clinton Hill. While the job is filed under the primary address of 894 Fulton Street, we have to assume it'll front on the Washington Avenue leg of an L-shaped lot that runs through to Fulton since there is an existing (quite charming) two-story building already on Fulton (the one that houses the Embora yoga studio). The planned five-story, eight-unit building is just two lots over from the slow-as-molasses Scarano project at 888 Fulton Street and across the street from the soon-to-market Isabella condos. Chances are this'll look as out of place as the one on Fulton. GMAP P*Shark DOB

Any idea what is happening right off of Myrtle between Emerson and Classon? Several buildings have been demolished.

SCREW THIS PIMPLE OF A BUILDING.
WHATS GOING ON AT 525 CLINTON? THE GLASS WHICH LOOKS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS IS DONE AND THAT STONE FACADE GOING ON THE FIRST FLOOR IS SOMETHING RIGHT OUT OF ROME.

IT'S TERRIFIC TO SEE A BUILDING THAT USES REAL OLD SCOOL MATERIALS AND NOT JUST FAKE CRAP.

well, 525 clinton will be "great" as long as you love the rats the size of small dogs and raccoons that are regularly seen on that block

525 Clinton is going to be condos -- I think there's a website at 525collection dot com.

Anyone know how many years are left on the 35 year lease for the CHECKS CASHED place on the corner there?

And what's going to take over the Washington Mutual space on Fulton between Sister's and Embora?

Thanks.
