Procida's be@schermerhorn Website Goes Live

189-Schermerhorn-060608.jpg
With the facade just about complete, the website for Mario Procida's downtown project at 189 Schermerhorn Street (aka 200 Livingston Street) has now gone live. The name of the development is loud and clear: be@schermerhorn. (The url, however, is spelled out as beatschermerhorn.com.) Other than that, there ain't a whole lot of info to be gleaned. It does appear that the 250 or so units will be comprised of studios, one bedroom and two bedrooms, with the cheapest apartments starting at $300,000. According to the site, formal sales will begin in the Fall.

Nice, z. You beat me to it.

The name poses a bit of a syntax problem If you ask a resident where he lives, does he say "I live at be at Schermerhorn"? Or just "I be at Schermerhorn"?

what are 1bd going to cost?

The area is only going to get better is that considered Downtown or Boerum Hill?

lol to 1 and 2.

seriously though, why not name your project livingston? schermerhorn is perhaps the awkwardedest name imaginable.

and why no 3 bedrooms in this building?

Wasn't Procida trying to sell this project to a buyer who would make it a rental? I guess they weren't able to sell so they're going through with the project as a condo...

Posted by: guest at June 6, 2008 1:35 PM

Why are they waiting so long to start selling? Most comparable developments started selling around the time they broke ground.

Posted by: guest at June 6, 2008 1:44 PM

Ridiculous name. Unfortunate location.

Posted by: guest at June 6, 2008 3:25 PM

"I just bought a two-bedroom in the LivingHorn."

Posted by: guest at June 6, 2008 4:05 PM

Don;t be silly. That would be, "I just rented a two-bedroom in the LivingHorn."

I actually like the building a lot. Hopefully all these new developments will clean up that strip on Schermerhorn. (And not sit empty for the next three years!)

They're doing that 2 bathrooms in not very big apartment thing. Why, why, why?
