As part of its Walking Tour issue, Time Out NY this week serves up an unintimidating plan for tackling the sights of Green-wood Cemetery. A few of the stops on their suggested route include the grave of Bill the Butcher, a bust of Horace Greeley and the Steinway family mausoleum. Any must-see personal faves from readers?

I always like to visit Charles Feltman. He opened up the first Coney Island hot dog stand and was the guy who thought up the idea of putting the dog on a bun. He then opened up an enormous restaurant called "Ocean Pavilion".

Feltman's great, but a few of the favs have to be the monuments to Charlotte Canda (died tragically at age 16), Litchfield (gave the land that's now Propspect Park), Van Ness-Parsons (Musician/Egyptologist w/ a pyramid tomb) and definitely Charles Higgins' Minerva on Battle Hill (which TONY does not mention).

And go while you can. The blooming cherries (older than BBG) and dogwoods are awesome right now.

On the corner closest to McDonald and Ft. Hamilton, there are two great monuments - a lady in a bathtub (that my husband has looked for every time he drives past that corner for 20 years) and a tall monument with a firefighter on top. No names, sorry.
