Navy Yard Watch: SurroundArt Building Rising
We were able to check in last week on the progress of the new 89,000-square-foot being built for the art handling company SurroundArt in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The company will be paying about $20 a foot, according to a Sun article from last fall. Pretty Slick.

NEXT and LAST links don't work right from the main page (brings you to the top).
also, there must be a better way to increase hits than the make us reload the page for each image ... the old image viewer was much nicer. but I guess you gotta make a living ...

It is nice to see this level of design on a commercial building. Kudos to the Navy Yard for putting some effort and $ into the appearance. It is certainly more then the usual big box retailers would ever do. And a great leap forward compared to the usual private warehouse development.
