Since when should the real owner of a property be responsible for paying off someone who bought the property from a scammer? It should be the buyer's responsibility- know whom you are buying from (especially if you're putting out that kind of money). The Church, in reality, was not sold because the papers are fraudulent, made up by someone without any authority. Why this is even a question is insane.
