Development Watch: Back on Track at 53 Broadway

Apparently, the MTA-related delays that were holding up the construction process at 53 Broadway in Williamsburg resolved themselves faster than expected, because on Friday we spotted this mechanical digger hard at work; a look at the DOB website also shows that the New Building plans were approved on May 9. To refresh, the project will ultimately include 35 units over 7 stories. You can see a rendering here.

good looking building. great restaurants and more around there now. new grocery store right there even. i live in north williamsburg, but that area is really cool with the cobble stones and the water and all.

There was a rumor that these might be going rental from the developer. Also, 35 units? It says 70 on their website? I want one...
