Development Watch: 65 Ainslie Street

65-Ainslie-Street-0508.jpg
As Curbed documented a couple of weeks back, Union Avenue between Metropolitan Avenue and Grand Street in Williamsburg is a hive of building activity. 65 Ainslie Street, above, is just one of several large projects on this stretch. This one is a 47 unit development designed by, you guessed it, Karl Fischer. Behind it, at 385 Union, is a similarly-scaled project by Michael Muroff. These are pretty conveniently located near the L Train, so we suspect there will be people who will want to live, assuming they are priced at a reasonable discount to the waterfront developments in the neighborhood.

great, spend lots of money to live between the heavy traffic of union, the clogged brooklyn-queens expressway and have your 'luxury' condo rattle from the g train running underfoot.

are people really buying this stuff?

There were some really nice feral cats around there, back in the day.
