Jerri, I was thinking the exact same thing. I almost thought it was the Arc de Triomphe and Place de l'Étoile when I first took a quick glance.

You are right is time to call our legislators and let them know that the people overwhelming oppose the new MTA tax, even if many on the city counsel were bribed and pressured by Bloomie and his bucks. Why did all the BX council members vote for the tax when only a few days earlier most had been very opposed.

Grand Army Plaza is a gorgeous spot - we overlook how great it is largely because it is such a pain to walk around, drive around, or walk to the center of. Hopefully they will get that fixed soon - but I'm not holding my breath. Expect it to be another decade, myself, before they do. Then it will once again be a premier spot in NYC.
