StreetLevel: 4th Avenue Nightspot Draws a Crowd
The large new high-end club on 4th Avenue and Garfield Place, Garfield's, was jumping last Friday evening. The nightclub, which has been open for a couple of months but only seems to welcome patrons every so often, was hosting a benefit for the corrections officer killed in Brooklyn last week, according to one of the people lined up outside the club. Any readers been inside this place?

whoever said 4th avenue isn't hot doesn't know their ass from their elbow.

4th Avenue is definitely closer to the ass than the elbow.

the place is nice but the layout is weird. the bar is way too long and where are the beer taps? it is like dating a guy with a small peeper...could be so good but that one thing is a deal breaker.

i've never heard of a bar being too long a bad thing.
your analogy is a little off.
too big = bad??
since when!!??

Garfield's Bar or Deity's?

I've been there a few times and really like the vibe. The Saturday night bartender(Jason?)makes a nice stiff vodka martini.

I was walking home from the subway with my 3 and a half year old and they were doing work inside Garfield's. I had never seen it and peaked in. The owner and the people working were super nice. They invited us in (it officially opens to the public in 2 weeks) and showed us around. It's huge, has a great bar and is really nice inside. They are serving food as well, similar to Bar Toto (that was their comparison).
Anyway, really nice people and great spot. Looking forward to checking it out.

The few times I've been there were for private parties. Had a great time!!! Great DJs..Wonderful Bartenders, (not bad 2 look at). The Redhead, I think her name is Kitty was so good to us that it made us want to make them open on a regular basis. Should be open soon! CYA THERE
