Brooklyn? Caracas? Tegucigalpa?

the grand street re-zoning will hurt renters. ironically, so many seem to be for the down zoning. but, they forget that there is a critical housing shortage.

renters plan development for being displaced, but really it's just supply and demand. no supply, charge lots of rent.

Brownstoner's description of the topic on Hawthorne Street's blog, "making streets safer" makes it sound like the group is addressing a crime issue. The group is addressing traffic calming. And there's a specific term for that. It's "traffic calming". It uses less space in the box and would have actually been accurate.

traffic calming is making streets safer.
