Development Watch: 1382 Bedford Avenue Revisited

We always find it funny when people try to tell you that you're not allowed to take a photo of a building from a public street. Such was the case when we popped by to check out the progress at 1382 Bedford Avenue. Grumpy construction managers aside, it's nice to see some new housing creation going on in this part of town. As we noted back in June, this is a 40-unit project. Anyone know whether it'll be condos or rentals?

When I'm taking Open House Walking Tours, I get some officious volunteers trying to tell me I can't take a photo of the house when I outside on the street. They don't seem to realize how lame saying you can't take an exterior photo is.
Unless it's some government high security installation with guards with big ol' guns at the ready, there is nothing preventing someone from taking a photo while out on the street.

Google Earth would be in serious trouble if you couldn't take and publish pictures of property.

you can take a picture of whatever you want ALWAYS. you can display it and also run it in an editorial. you cannot, however, sell it to run in ad unless you have property +/or talent releases.

people can be pretty stupid.

My former next door neighbor prevented someone from painting a picture of South Elliott Place - that included part of his building. He berated the poor painter until the the guy finally gave up and left. I say former because he's dead now.

expect to be berated from the grave for expressing your former neighbors thoughts.

Did the painter come back "post humously?"
