New residents....congrats! i'm not able to move in until late spring. So, the question is, how is the new space? Any negative surprises?

They drilled lots of extra windows in the north facade. It doesn't look as good as it used to. I'm surprised the city allowed this.

wsb building looks as a great as ever, and even better now that its new inhabitants are arriving. welcome.

I love this building. I wish that moving truck was mine!

Posted by: guest at January 16, 2008 8:33 PM

The extra windows on the north side are for the snippers. ha ha

All for it and more power to WSB residents. Just don't let any plane hit you.

almost pulled the trigger here but ended up at 110 Livingston. Less mercury, better neighborhood, and I'm living here for 6 months already, which allowed me to sell my last condo for peak prices in July before the mortgage market fell apart.

If we had stuck with One Hanson, we'd probably be screwed because we would have had to delay our sale and ended up with a much more difficult financial situation

Hey 10:35 do I sense a little bit of regret or envy in your post for not buying @ One Hanson??
For starters wsb is in a much better hood... FG, BAM cultural district, better bldg, transportation options, and quite frankly a much brighter future...

that moving van was me. so far so good. love the space, but i'm the only one here so far.

Posted by: guest at January 17, 2008 3:04 AM

its all good. why does everything need to be a my car is faster than yours debate.

Posted by: BrooklynLove at January 17, 2008 7:23 AM

The clock lights were already failing last night.

Must be kind of creepy, 3:04. Hope you don't get attacked by the ghost of some dude who died in a dental procedure gone wrong.

*beats chest for 110 Livingston*

*beats chest for one hanson*

who cares. congrats to all new buyers! keep the bklyn renaissance going...

Moving in on the 25th and super excited!

random post, but why do we hate atlantic yards for its scale and love hanson place? I think Atlantic Yards is going to be great for Brooklyn. Heal the wound that is Atlantic/Flatbush Aves and the railway.

Posted by: guest at January 17, 2008 2:55 PM

2:55: AY is 19 times bigger (in square feet) than this building. It's also taking advantage of enormous public subsidies, and eminent domain, whereas this building was built as-of-right on land purchased fair-and-square. Also, architecturally, there's no comparison.

Posted by: zinka at January 17, 2008 3:13 PM

Not to start a flame war, but 110 has a superior location to 1 Hanson.

Posted by: guest at January 17, 2008 5:53 PM

5:53

Then Shut Up.

Posted by: guest at January 17, 2008 6:48 PM

I do think that in a poll, 99% of people would say One Hanson is a superior location to 110 Livingston.

No question.

Posted by: guest at January 17, 2008 7:24 PM

for the love of god, stop with the retarded debate you bunch of 2 year olds.

Posted by: BrooklynLove at January 17, 2008 9:44 PM

this is the original 10:35....

no regrets whatsoever. Paid $750/sq ft instead of $1000. For a place I actually live in and am not still waiting to live in. (it's April now, and your hoist is still there).

Um, and the neighborhood isn't much but enjoy your decade of construction over at Atlantic Ave. Oh, and the ghetto Target.

I'll be chillin over here.
