BREAKING: Worker Killed at 525 Clinton Avenue

WNBC is reporting that a construction worker died this morning in a fall from a scaffolding at the 13-story work-in-progress at 525 Clinton Avenue in Clinton Hill; a second worker is reportedly injured. The accident occurred at about 10 a.m., after the DOB had issued safety warnings about the high winds. Is anyone nearby with a camera?

Wow. I live a couple blocks away and see this building from my apartment. Those jobs are just so dangerous.

A camera? To take a picture of what exactly?

I think B'Stoner wanted a picture of the chaos probably going on over there.
Well, this building is going to be a while longer.

It's so windy out - can't believe they were up there.

20 pounds/sq.ft of wind. That's what you gotta design those scaffolds for. No excuse. Can't rely on the DOB to give you a wind advisory.

I saw it but didn't have a camera with me. The winds are very strong here on Clinton Avenue. I live between Lafayette and Greene and was walking towards Fulton when it happened. It was frightening to see.

Did the scaffolding collapse?

"Did the scaffolding collapse?"
No, 12:22 (myself) didn't read the whole story. Sorry.

I sent you a picture from the angle from where it happened.
