"Celebrities Hot for One Brooklyn Bridge Park"

Pure marketing.

Posted by: guest at December 31, 2007 4:32 PM

Blue skies, new day. Way to start 2008! Sort of.

Posted by: guest at December 31, 2007 4:34 PM

Never heard of any of those celebrities--only Hilary Swank, and... big deal.

Posted by: guest at December 31, 2007 4:46 PM

If you've never heard of Tyra Banks, why is it you exist, exactly?

Posted by: guest at December 31, 2007 5:09 PM

Why does Tyra Banks exist, except to deny Montel an hour of air time?

Posted by: guest at December 31, 2007 5:11 PM

Never heard of Tyra Banks. I just googled her, and do recognize her tits and hips from some of those Victoria's Secret catalogs, though.

Posted by: guest at December 31, 2007 5:55 PM

Ah yes, A-list celebs, totally. Go Brooklyn!

Posted by: guest at December 31, 2007 5:56 PM

Never heard of Tyra Banks except when Janice Dickinson called her fat.

Posted by: guest at December 31, 2007 6:42 PM

Of course, its pure marketing. But, that doesn't mean its not true.

Posted by: guest at December 31, 2007 7:46 PM

Like if you keep sitting down and blogging, you get fat. Much like peepz who hang out in Downtown Brooklyn.

Welcome to the new day, new year 2008! How many pounds did I gain from the holidays? Don't wanna know.

Posted by: guest at January 1, 2008 10:35 AM

The usual hype. One, the "celebrities" never actually buy into these places. Two, who the hell cares?

Posted by: guest at January 1, 2008 2:04 PM

The celebrities are probably paid to "tour" the place. Just like with Nick Lachey & his girlfriend at the Atelier. They did major PR for the Atelier, and most likely got a discount and other perks for buying there. It's the oldest trick in the book.

Posted by: guest at January 1, 2008 3:22 PM

Very surprised a real movie star like Hilary Swank participated in this. Usually only D-list wannabes like Tyra Banks, Nick Lachey and Paris Hilton agree to tour places or show up at parties for publicity.

Posted by: guest at January 2, 2008 8:48 AM

I'm Hilary Swank and they made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Posted by: guest at January 2, 2008 12:48 PM

there are thousands and thousands of celebrities in new york.

it's really that hard for you to believe that three of them like brooklyn enough to look at an apartment (and possibly buy one) there.

you're being absurd.

Posted by: guest at January 2, 2008 2:17 PM

No, 2:17. Not absurd. This piece was obviously just PR fluff. Most of us are able to spot those. I absolutely believe celebrities are looking at Brookyln for real estate investments. But this wasn't believable. It was too vague for one thing, about Hilary Swank. All they're saying is she might look at the place. She didn't even officially ask to see the building yet and they're using her name to sell their condos. Smells of desperation.

"Of course, its pure marketing. But, that doesn't mean its not true."

Yes it does. Think real hard. PUUURRREEE.

Thinking of buying a condo there at today's asks, at the top of the market, and coming out ahead? Again, think real hard.
