Wow...the Times does a piece on crime in Brooklyn and the only two neighborhoods mentioned were Prospect Heights and Park Slope?

The 'Sloper's must be pissed. I have no opinion either way, but I'm glad to see that the Times doesn't only use freelance writers that live in the 'Slope. It's a nice contrast to the usual love-fest they have going with the neighborhood.

Yep--seems there has been lots of anecdotal evidence suggesting crime in Park Slope and Prospect Hts is on the rise. The police blotters in the Brooklyn Paper have been pretty intense this year.

When asked why he robbed banks, Jesse James replied, "Cuz that's where the money is."

PS: Keep reading the police blotters and you will never leave your house.

Um, the Times article says that every category of crime except burglaries has dropped in Park Slope this year.

Crooks do rob where the money is. That's the news from L.A. They are brazenly breaking into big houses in wealthy neighborhoods more and more the last few years, even in the middle of Beverly Hills.
