Development Watch: Duffield St. Hotels
Up they go! After a slow start, the LAM Group’s 25-story hotel complex at 222 Duffield is rising quickly. The development, which will be split into two hotels (a Sheraton and an Aloft), has grown from two stories last month to four this month. Seems like this project may be the first to reach the finish line in an area that’s got a number of entrants in the redevelopment race: It’s across the street from a planned Karl Fischer-designed hotel and a couple blocks away from the Albee Square Mall site.

Go Duffield! Now I don't have to house out of town guests. Then again, I hope the B&B on Lawrence doesn't lose out.

i think that awesome should survive just fine - maybe even benefit from the increased visitors staying in the area. my impression - most often, people staying in a B&B (esp in NYC) are looking to stay in a B&B, not in a hotel.

We just passed the demolition ongoing at the hideous old garage on Flatbush and Willoughby...seldom can I say that anything they build will be better than what was there before, but in this case...
