Closing Bell: Avalon Myrtle Demo Beginning, Ever So Slowly

No wrecking balls yet, but there were a few guys removing the electrical wiring along the back of the Avalon Myrtle site in Downtown Brooklyn this week.

It is rumored that they're waiting for the green light from the DOB to commence construction. It's above the subway line. But like the Oro, it will go up fast once they get going.
The Catsimadis building across from it is likewise slow going because of foundation work. However, the crane is up and going.

i was over there today and that warehouse structure is coming down fast. and the storefront buildings are looking like hollow shells at this point. crazy progress over at the myrtle ave building site and albee garage demo as well.
