Development Watch: 200 Livingston Comes Into Focus

We got a taste of 200 Livingston's skin back in October, but if you pop over to the Schermerhorn side of the project you can get a pretty idea of what the 25-story building will end up looking like. We like it. How 'bout you?

Looks good. I wonder when they are going to start sales?

I like it too.

looks like a dallas suburb office building

Drove by this yesterday. I agree with 'Stoner's comments. It is not bad at all in context with its surroundings.
Its a bit boring, but again, contextually, not bad.

Contextually, it's a shit-can.

it looks nice in person as well. isn't this one supposed to be rental?

Condonificationally shit-o-rific!

looks ok to me. this area is pretty blech so anything new is going to be a step up.

It's be@Livingston, and it's rental, not condo. I live across the street and I think it's a rather nice-looking building compared to the carp that's gone up in Downtown in the last 30 years.

Winner of the much-coveted "Not as Fugly as Some of the Other Crap that's gone up Lately" award!

if you guys like this, you should really consider a move to dallas, atlanta, houston. seriously, as many of these as your heart desires... plus, you can facilitate the nyc "correction" that we have started

I live a block away and look directly at this building -- it's OK. Not great, but not bad. Certainly not interesting, but acceptable in a bland way (no more or less so than the new rental building at 200 Schermerhorn).

All new buildings suck. Landmark everything. I love vacant lots. Buck Fush. Free Mumia.

Seriously people, this is Livingston Street. It's a nice building, perhaps not worth architectural snobbery, but nice. Good. Which is a start for a downtown hub that is currently lined with vacancies and storage on the upper floors. Growth and change don't happen over night.
And how exactly is this like Dallas again?

Wow, a lot of misinformed folks.
This is Be@Schermerhorn (not Be@Livingston, or what have you), and it's a CONDO project, not rentals.
You can see the details on the developers page. It's the project on the bottom:

The poster above me is right--this is a great addition to a blah street.

Ok, so what exactly is the website for this building because I'm getting a bunch of redirect websites.

The Be@Schermerhorn website isn't up and running yet. I imagine they'll have a splashy page once the building is closer to completion and sales.
