Michelle Williams Wants Out of Brooklyn

michelleleaving1007.jpg
Another A-lister is fleeing Brooklyn, according to today's Page Six. The gossip column reports that Michelle Williams is likely to follow in the footsteps of her ex, Heath Ledger, and move to Manhattan because the Boerum Hill house she and Ledger bought a couple of years ago too big for just her and her baby. Further proof that Brooklyn is, like, totally over as far as the cool kids are concerned?

See ya!

I predict the house will go for 3-4 million.

Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

Posted by: Rehab at October 29, 2007 10:11 AM

Nope. I don't think anyone around here really cares whether we have movie stars around. It was amusing for a while to spot the celebrity couple but it doesn't make any difference at all. I think we take more pride in our longterm writer residents and our wacky-haired kids musician anyway.

Posted by: Carol Gardens at October 29, 2007 10:12 AM

I saw Keri Russell (Felicity) on Ft. Greene Place and Fulton Street the other day. She was driving in her SUV. Brooklyn is where the cool kids hang.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 10:13 AM

The truly cool people have known that Brooklyn is where it's at for generations, and were smart enough to buy here before it got "discovered" - back when prices were pre-movie star level. We're too cool to crave public celebrity; we're celebrities in our own minds.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 10:24 AM

"Michelle Williams wants out"......is she in jail or something? Who cares? Who is she? A-lister...why? Never heard of her till she was associated with Heath Ledger who is another C-lister.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 10:33 AM

wow, thats horrible. i should sell my house in brooklyn and buy in manhattan. wait a minute...i can't afford a closet/apartment in manhattan! so i guess its staten island for me.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 10:34 AM

Well if she's just looking for a smaller, more manageable-sized place for her and the baby, I would be *happy* to trade my lovely two-bedroom apartment for her townhouse. Just a few blocks away, and then they wouldn't even have to change neighborhoods!

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 10:36 AM

most people dont care. i don't know why alot of you guys get work up by stars. they are just people!!

Posted by: armchairwarrior at October 29, 2007 10:41 AM

I'd want to move too if I had some blogger blabbing on about my personal life. Suggest you + Page Siz do the right thing and respect the woman's privacy.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 10:47 AM

I don't understand this. It was her idea to live in Bklyn all along. She wanted a garden and a lil beathing space that wasn't offered in Manhattan. Heath sold off his Los Feliz,Calif. house to make this a reality for Michelle. He bought the townhouse in bklyn.

Perhaps he's looking to sell it & 'chelle is needing to look elsewhere. Last week she was rumored to be moving to Portland. This week it's Manhattan. Is Heath threatening to withhold child support if she moves herself &, more importantly, the baby too far away from him?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 10:50 AM

This is what you have for Monday morning? It's quite ridiculous you felt this is worthy of such a large blog entry but then again what merit does this site have anyway?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 10:52 AM

Could someone please post all of Heath and Michelle's comments concerning Atlantic Yards....

Another PR victory for Dan Goldstein (sarcasm for the uninformed)

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:03 AM

girl needs to go tanning...

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:18 AM

Until I read this, I thought Heath Ledger was a woman.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:19 AM

Who cares what she has to say, or where she lives her primary purpose is as eye candy:

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:26 AM

good riddance to another inflated bloated c lister.
maybe the neighborhood we moved here for in the first place might return, just a hope.
been here 23 yrs. was great then is great now but will be better when the fakes are gone

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:28 AM

The more we care about nonsense like this the more like Manhattan we become. Brooklyn has a proud history of suspicion about Manhattan values, let's keep it that way.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:29 AM

I'm with 11:26 - Brooklyn needs as many hot MILFs as it can get - no one cares or was listening to her political, real estate or development opinions anyway.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:32 AM

Now that she's settled, Maggie Gyllenhaal reflects on life in the Slope: "We’re crazy about Park Slope. But we’re new to the neighborhood, so we’re still figuring everything out.” She's also been hanging in Fort Greene a lot.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:42 AM

Don't really care what happens to Ms Williams...but the house is another matter. And btw -- that's an old picture and the "negative" was flipped -- the brownstone with attached 3 car garage is sweet.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:43 AM

But what will the Corcoran agents say when they're selling their brownstones now?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:47 AM

Cracks me up how vehemently people protest that they don't care. If you truly don't care, why are you even taking the time to read and post here? Personally, I think a little local celebrity gossip is a fun diversion from some of the BORING zoning/community board/etc. posts that have been on this site lately...

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:48 AM

I think they paid over 3 million for it whenever they bought it. Wonder if they'll get much more now.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:53 AM

All you indignant self-righteous posters need to really get over yourselves and your immature defense of Brooklyn. If the commenters on this blog were truly representative of the population of Brooklyn, I'd stay as far away from the borough as possible.

Now, this post is relevant since this blog is about brownstones in Brooklyn, and the Williams-Legder brownstone set a record in Boerum Hill ($3.6 I believe).

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:03 PM

As of noon, fifty percent more people posted on this topic than the eminent domain public hearing, a candidate for borough-wide office, the perils and possibilities of buying a building with rent-regulated tenants, the BSA hearing on 163 Washington Avenue, a couple of recent property sales and the planned development of a third hotel on Duffield Street COMBINED. You get the news you deserve.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:03 PM

Hot, divorced women is the news I deserve and want!

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:05 PM

But I thought that Heath and Michelle cared so much about Brooklyn. Do you mean to tell me that their service for DDDB was perfunctory? Awww, what a shame...

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:09 PM

Race you to the finish line.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:09 PM

If I were a famous single mother in a huge brownstone, I'd probably trade it in for a nice apartment in a doorman building. It makes life much easier and safer even.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:11 PM

"All you indignant self-righteous posters need to really get over yourselves and your immature defense of Brooklyn. If the commenters on this blog were truly representative of the population of Brooklyn, I'd stay as far away from the borough as possible."

If curbed.com comments were any indication of the population of Manhattan, I think the place should cease to exist.

What's your point?

Anyone who considers comments on an anonymous blog an indication of ANYTHING is beyong ignorant.

Downright stupid, I'd say.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:15 PM

She's OK. Nothing to get worked up over.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:15 PM

"But I thought that Heath and Michelle cared so much about Brooklyn. Do you mean to tell me that their service for DDDB was perfunctory? Awww, what a shame..."

Some people don't have such a small mind that they are only able to care about one thing. Brooklyn is in New York. Some of us love ALL of New York. Not only the area surrounded by AY, and not only Manhattan.

Guess you're not one of those people.

Enjoy your lentil sized brain.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:17 PM

12:15 please post a picture of your significant other or at least a girl you would get "worked up over" -

she is extremely hot

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:18 PM

Good I am glad, she is going where she belongs. Manhattan is for the Movie Stars and Brooklyn is for the intellectuals.

Posted by: KarinaB at October 29, 2007 12:18 PM

I hope they do a FSBO, with their assistants or lawyers handling the sale.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:23 PM

Guess again, 12:15. I'm not letting a loser like you get a look at MY woman, who about is 25x hotter than that chick. Chumps like you may think she's something, but that's because you're desperate.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:28 PM

12:28 here. I MEANT to address 12:18. My bad.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:29 PM

Oh please - there aren't 3 women in all of Brooklyn who are 25x hotter (physically) then Michelle Williams.

Be real there isn't much in the way of eye candy in this boro and losing Michelle Williams is a loss in that department.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:35 PM

So funny 12:28/29- You're so tough yet so sweet with your apology. Why are you blogging? Shouldn't you be busy knockin' boots with your 25x (is that a size?) lady? Best to you and your sexy woman. Your tough side is . . .not so tough. Cute. Happy day!

i'd take maggie gyllenhall or jennifer connelly over that hag anyday.

Too bad you can't get the real thing and have to rely on eye candy.

Like you ever had a chance.

Can't find anyone amonst the other 2.5 million Brooklyn residents to shag?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:45 PM

12:45 - who says I have to "rely" on eye candy.

Just because I have a hot, sweet and filling meal at home doesn't mean I cant appreciate the (few) tasty desserts I see around the neighborhoods.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:50 PM

Still can't figure out why I should care. Shouldn't this kind of thing be on PerezHilton.com?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:52 PM

All you sword fighters- just show it and end the nonsense.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:56 PM

Truly, 12:52. If you shouldn't care, WHY did you click on the post, read it, and then read through all the comments?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 12:56 PM

I can see why celebrities dig Brooklyn. We're all too cool to stop you on the street and bother you, we just blog it out of our systems instead. And I'm not being facetious, I count myself in that statement. Whenever I see anyone famous I act like it didn't happen, until I get home and talk about it ad nauseum.

I guess as a famous person, that's the most you can hope for: people pretending to ignore you, so you can lead a somewhat normal day-to-day life without throngs of people following you around like Britney, but still enough interest in you to get written and talked about.

Except for the truly talented with great pr people, who somehow manage to work and keep their private lives totally quiet.

I like having famous people in Brooklyn. I think it's cool. When people who have all the money and flexibility to live anywhere choose your nabe, how can it not be good for your real estate?

Amy

"Be real there isn't much in the way of eye candy in this boro"

Are you kidding? Some of the most beautiful black women on the planet are here and the gorgeous Russian girls of our beach communities and the sexy brown mamis... you need to leave Park Slope. There are beautiful white women in Clinton Hill. Put your butt down on a Washington Avenue stoop for an hour and you will see that parade. . .

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:04 PM

That's hilarious because when I see famous people in Brooklyn, I never expect them to be who they are.

I saw Heath Ledger at BAM once and I was thinking- how do I know this guy- he looks so familiar? Then I saw Michelle and thought- wow, this girl is Nicole Richie skinny . . and then I made the connection.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:09 PM

Who is she? When I read the name I was looking for a photo of the Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child. Now if that Michelle Williams were in Brooklyn and decided to leave, I'd be upset because the way I see it she would have been good for a couple of Beyonce visits and maybe even a visit from the Jigga man himself. I'd have camped outside of her door just for a glimpse of Beyonce.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:11 PM

We all need to get a life....or get back to work.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:12 PM

Wasn't there a rumor that Beyonce had bought an apartment in the Richard Meier building at Grand Army? Set up your tent. All that glass? Seizure!

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:15 PM

Jigga man has sold us out with Atlantic Yards. Saw him last year at a contemporary art sale with his investment consultant. She was explaining to him why a triptych of three blank pieces of paper was worth a gazillion dollars.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:20 PM

C'mon with your celebrity sightings.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:24 PM

Has anyone heard that Debbie Harry bought in Bay Ridge?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:29 PM

Michelle Williams is famous for being on Dawson's Crack for many years.

Then as the wife of Heth Ledger in Brokeback Mountain.

She's not a bad actress.

I heard the Beyonce/Grand Army thing as well...

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:29 PM

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THEIR BOERUM HILL TOWNHOUSE TO BE HOTD!!!! Hope Corcoran doesn't get their grubby fingers on it.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:30 PM

haven't heard the debbie harry thing. she used to live in london terrace- the huge apartment building that is far west on 23rd st.. manhattan. that was in the early 90's.

Last week they were filming Sex in the City "the movie" in Clinton Hill. Didn't see anyone but their crew bbq smelled great. Heard they completely reno'ed a brownstone. Does anyone know if they'll sell it when they're finished?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:36 PM

who needs michelle williams -- chinghalle moved in some six months ago...

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:40 PM

corcoran is already on the heels of the ledger/williams home...

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:43 PM

michelle williams is a very good actress - strange to write her off as nothing more than eye candy. there are plenty of pretty but horrible actresses out there to pick on besides her.

but, the real point - do think that there is something to brownstoners story here. if you can add some celebrity to brooklyn, it definitely elevates that area. it's obvious. losing them is bad, not good.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:45 PM

Who/what is chinghalle?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:45 PM

This ruined my week. I am so sad, worse than a death in the family and my upcoming gall bladder surgery. I cannot bear the pain any more.....Where is the tallest bridge?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:47 PM

I could care less if a neighbor is good at her job (acting) - but if she can make a trip to the grocery store more exciting by providing me something attractive to look at, I want her to stay around.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:49 PM

Aren't there famous people connected with almost every area of Brooklyn?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:49 PM

1:49 - are you making my trip to the grocery store any better? Just wondered.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:51 PM

Never heard of either one of them until now, and in the words of a real movie star "...I don't give a damn".

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:53 PM

1:53- so you're just bored? Aw.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 1:56 PM

1:49 depends on what you like to see but I believe I am well above the curve at my grocery store (granted a low threshold)

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 2:11 PM

Food co op is a great place to meet beautiful women and get quick conversation.

Who said I don't have an EZ pass? Like I said the first time, she's OK, but nothing to get worked up about. You have her as at least the 4th hottest woman in Brooklyn. Not happening, man. But hey, that's your bag.

Do you have other photos, because the girl in the picture is nothing to look at, and appears washed out/ghostly. Beyonce is hot Selma what's her name is hot Sophia Loren was hot J Lo is hot Swimsuit Sports Illustrated are mostly hot. This chick here should put on an Elmer's shirt because she looks like a tube of glue.

This is a dumb conversation

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 2:47 PM

They're all dumb conversations.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 2:49 PM

It's too bad if she leaves. It's too bad if anyone feels like they don't want to live in Brooklyn. Of course Brooklyn should aspire to attract and retain actors and actresses as residents.

If you feel differently, I hope it's because of a real experience you've had with Michelle Williams, and not because you're just sour.

Posted by: Park Place at October 29, 2007 2:51 PM

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 2:51 PM

Why should "Brooklyn" aspire to attract and retain actors and actresses?

Park Place is moronic.

Unless that post was sarcastic.

"I never said she was the 4th hottest women in Brooklyn, I said there weren't 3 women who were TWENTY-FIVE times hotter than her."

Yawn.

2:47, you're obsessed with a ghostly-looking wraith of a woman whose not nearly as hot as half of the fine ladies I see in Brooklyn on a daily basis, including 2:33. Face it, she's only special in your lonely little bedroom. Get out of there and sample Brookyln's TRUE finest.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 3:27 PM

Celebrity poseurs "slumming it" in Brooklyn. I have to laugh out loud. It's been going on since Fulton first started ferrying over daytrippers for a romp in the "countryside". Somehow I think Brooklyn will survive without folks trying to buy into what Brooklyn is famous for, that is, creating a cultural vibe. From Walt Whitman to Henry Miller to Biggy Smalls....Brooklyn comes from inside.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 3:46 PM

Do you remember the waitress at Brawta a few years back?- Mindblowing!

12:56 is a hose bag.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 3:54 PM

You're going back a few years. You're not a poseur- by your own criteria? So where is your farm? You have the Brooklyn vibe by way of . . .where? Are you Dutch? I'm more Brooklyn than you are- I'm not- it's just silliness. Give them props for not wanting to live on the upper east or in Westchester or don't. Whatever. Love your neighbors. Peace.

enough said.

You know who I mean? Damn! The boo-tay!

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 3:59 PM

BABS! HAhahah!- Are you old or "into showtunes".

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:00 PM

Neither, 4:00.

Just a fan.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:06 PM

Someone will call me a moron again for posting, but who cares...

The woman and her husband moved here, got a lot of press for the neighborhood, got their address exposed by a newspaper, spoke out about emminenet domain, probably helped drive some real estate prices up (not their fault), and then got divorced (which has nothing to do with brooklyn). Why can't they move wherever they want without people being sour, and why wouldn't we want to keep them as residents? They were pretty low key.

Now you're all arguing over whether she's ugly or not. There are like ten drug dealers on flatbush and park who piss all over the sidewalk every weekend. I'd rather they go buy apartments in Manhattan and Michelle Williams stay in Brooklyn.

Posted by: Park Place at October 29, 2007 4:07 PM

You don't mean BABS as Big And Beautiful Singles do you?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:09 PM

I don't think they were married, just shacking up.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:12 PM

Okay Park Place but:

Why should "Brooklyn" aspire to attract and retain actors and actresses?

Who's sour? Not a single person cares. We're just bored. That's why half the thread has nothing to do with them/her. Can we go back to pointing out local lovelies? Moron. Wink.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:14 PM

You're a moron, Park Place.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:15 PM

4:13- do you think that there is something intellectual going on here?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:16 PM

"You know who I mean? Damn! The boo-tay!"

Yes. I hear you, brother.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:16 PM

"There are like ten drug dealers on flatbush and park who piss all over the sidewalk every weekend"

Oops. sorry...that was me...couldn't hold it.

Next time, I'm aiming for your front stoop.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:19 PM

sister.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:19 PM

I have pissed there too after a few drinks. There's a very dark corner- good enough for a girl.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:22 PM

Did anyone ever learn whether the Nell Carter that sold the house to Ledger-Williams was the TV Nell (Gimme a Break/jazz singer) or an Australian woman who had the same name?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:22 PM

A very hot local chick is the dark haired girl who apparently owns Lucia on 5th Ave (@Garfield)

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:23 PM

Lucy Banduci

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:32 PM

I know two couples that lived in their "brownstone" in the 1990s before Ledger/Williams bought it. I also lived one block away on Dean for 3 years while they were renovating the place and have seen the three of them (Ledger, Williams and their daughter) around the neighborhood.

First, that building used to be a four family rental with a itty bitty concrete backyard. There is no garden, only a terrace over the 3 car garage which overlooks a school playground - not exactly a private oasis.

Second, the place was a wreck in 1997 and nothing ever worked for my friends (, so why you spend millions to convert some sub-standard apartment building rather than buy one of the landmark brownstones on that block is beyond me (unless the 3 car garage was the big draw).

Third, neither of them are particularly attractive when seen close up. It's all Hollywood magic folks (except their lack of acting talent). Word is that Ledger's career is about to go down the tubes due to his pathetic attempt at playing the Joker in the upcoming Batman movie. When word gets out over how much cash they threw away for their building, I can't imagine they will get much sympathy.

Brooklyn has enough home grown celebrities. These no talent runway models can go back to SUV-land.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:36 PM

"sister."

Sorry, sister. My bad. Still, the booty was amped, right?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:36 PM

Lucy Banduci = piece of a$$

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:45 PM

4:36- crazy. I used to ask her how she was able to walk down the street. Seriously, she must have hated to go outside. I saw a woman get up and leave her man in Brawta because he could not get his shit together in the presence of that waitress.

4:45- very bad taste. You could scare a woman with that.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:52 PM

4:36- why are they still talking about the stupid house?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 4:55 PM

Do you remember the waitress at Brawta a few years back?- Mindblowing!

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 3:48 PM

She has her own restaurant now it is called Brooks Valley and it is at 415 Tompkins (718)919-8800, and she looks better than ever.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:04 PM

Well, let's see.... if I just got divorced and I kept having pictures mercilessly snapped of me when i took the baby out for a stroll, I'd probably feel that one brownstone was too big for me and I'd probably want out too...

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:06 PM

Hey, does anyone know if the owner at Choice in Clinton Hill is the same white dude with locks that used to cook at Brawta- while we are on the topic?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:08 PM

5:06- I don't get the connection.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:08 PM

Does anyone know the name of the West Indian bakery on Nostrand, not too far before Eastern Pkwy, that has fresh currant roll at 1:00 everyday? It's so yummy!

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:12 PM

I used to go into Brawta to see her, and the food was good. Does she own it or is she a waitress, either way I am there.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:28 PM

She goes to my gym, and sorry, I am not SHARING. To the person who invented Spandex, THANKS.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:33 PM

I do not know- we had a third poster ad that info. It sounds like she is the owner. Good for her!

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:34 PM

'Stoner can you do a thread on the hottest girls in Brownstone Brooklyn. Corcoran has a real hot Broker who I would submit.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:36 PM

She used to go to Lucille Roberts- I'm sure to avoid the droolers.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:37 PM

5:36- you just did.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:38 PM

I hope that we are all talking about the same woman. Does her name remind you of a toilet paper brand? Brawta has had many beautiful waitresses.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:39 PM

Who is the hottest broker in Brooklyn? That has a loose connection to the theme of the blog.

Here are the "hot" Brooklyn lezzies, for all you PS chicks (and guys):

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:39 PM

Dude, I didn't get the name, but you must be kidding. Brawta had/has many beautiful waitresses but we are talking about a piece of art. Please tell me if you have seen anything like it since or before, and tell me where?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:52 PM

She is not on that list, but her name rhymes with metal and she may be Dutch. BTW not an attractive bunch, they needed her.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 5:57 PM

I have never seen anything like that. I am not a dude. There is no way that we are NOT speaking of the same extraordinary "piece of art". There is/ was/will ever be only one like this. There's no mistake.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:00 PM

I did her. She digs chicks.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:03 PM

Just playin'

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:03 PM

I have never seen Luci Banduci but she is the hottest chick in park slope because I read it on Brownstoner the most reliable source for my news. Anything else is second best. Rock on stoner. What a great thread this is. I learned so much and I am glad I wasted 10 minutes of my time reading and responding. In fact I wish someone would just take this internet thing off my computer because it is all starting to be a big waste of time. And completely useless. I think I learned more from my cat today than Any thing I read on the web.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:07 PM

Unless I am misstaken, that is a mirror image of the house in question. The garages open to the street at the left of the house, not the right. It is across the street from the Mugavero nursing home and has been painted battleship gray, for some reason.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:08 PM

6:07- nice payback with your 'waste of time' post. don't you know that it doesn't matter what you write? this is filling a void. it's mindless. you do this because you're above reality tv. so- what- now you realize that you're not? it's just another form of the same thing? well congrats- you're almost to the point of actually allowing it to be meditative and fun. go with the flow. all you who "have to stay with the theme" people- just flow. nothing profound is going to happen so don't be disappointed when it doesn't. we can still see that you are a thoughtful writer even if you talk about some hottie.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:18 PM

and another thing: the one who sold it to them was the nell of nell's nightclub, not nell carter the singer, who died some time ago.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:20 PM

Gimme a break.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:23 PM

Wasn't Nell Carter on that show?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:24 PM

yep. But there was confusion over which Nell Carter sold them the house. People also alluded to an Australian writer by the same name.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:29 PM

She was not hot.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:35 PM

5:12....you talking about the Trini bakery on the right hand side walking on Nostrand twrds Eastern pkwy 2 doors before St JOhns Place? They also sell fresh butter bread ,sticky buns hot everyday and a line out the door?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:38 PM

I have never seen anything like that. I am not a dude. There is no way that we are NOT speaking of the same extraordinary "piece of art". There is/ was/will ever be only one like this. There's no mistake.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:00 PM

Women were watching too, who knew? Maybe the five of us could agree to meet at her place at a certain time wearing a certain color or something to compare notes? :-)

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:45 PM

No pics of her on her own site, strange. Maybe someone has spread?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:49 PM

6:38- YES! It's the best! What's it called?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 6:58 PM

6:45 - We should go there. I'll bring my husband. It seems like a fine reason to have dinner and a perfectly good common denominator.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 7:03 PM

5:36...do you mean Tracey McLean?

She is indeed pretty hot.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 7:40 PM

Cupcakes.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 9:11 PM

i gotta see this 'magic booty' chick. those who have seen her please explain further...why is it so magnificent?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 9:14 PM

Regarding who is the hottest Corcoran broker in Brooklyn, I say Dennis McCarthy.

Cute, no?

Why is it that the only thing to evaluate about Michelle Williams as it pertains to whether she merits celebrity, is her hotness? What about that thing called talent? Nobody judges male actors like that. If so, none of the top male character actors would ever have become successful or famous. Those dudes are dogs, most of them. It stinks.

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 11:56 PM

I heard she's moving from Boerum Hill to Park Slope--wonder why?

Posted by: guest at October 30, 2007 12:37 AM

because she's bitter?

Posted by: guest at October 30, 2007 8:58 AM

"because she is bitter"

oh my goodness, that is the best response I ever did hear.

Posted by: guest at October 30, 2007 10:11 AM

because park slope is more mommy friendly.

and her friend, mags gyllenhall lives there now.

Posted by: guest at October 30, 2007 11:02 AM

Park Place - I got your back. It's just no use posting intelligent comments here. Brownstoner, you are becoming quite the lowly publication.

Posted by: guest at October 30, 2007 11:15 AM

You've got someone back for making the following comment:

"It's too bad if she leaves. It's too bad if anyone feels like they don't want to live in Brooklyn. Of course Brooklyn should aspire to attract and retain actors and actresses as residents."

Um...ok.

I guess you've got Cheney's back as well.

And Lindsay Lohans.

Posted by: guest at October 30, 2007 11:51 AM

i gotta see this 'magic booty' chick. those who have seen her please explain further...why is it so magnificent?

Posted by: guest at October 29, 2007 9:14 PM

It is magically oval in shape, each cheek individually, and combined it is equally oval and magical. It is as if designed by one of the great masters of art.

Posted by: guest at October 30, 2007 1:14 PM

You know, psychologists and psychiatrists have long maintained that a male's obsessive fixation on a woman's ass denotes latent homosexuality.

Posted by: guest at October 30, 2007 1:25 PM

no need to consult the doctor. i love a woman's ass ....and I'm a gay American!

Posted by: guest at October 30, 2007 7:26 PM

1:25 only someone with a flat ass would write that.

Posted by: guest at October 30, 2007 10:17 PM
