What's up with that retail space?

Well the apartment itself seems to look nice from the pictures, but would you pay over $1,000,000 to live next to those buildings? Look at the retail spaces! At least it seems you would have a plumber nearby,

yeah, speaking of how things change at night...guess I'd want to be there at 1 a.m. first. Also, just how high IS that "mezzanine" ceiling? Granted, that's a lot of space, but I'm not sure how usable it all is.

I'm with Brownstoner -- I can see its flaws, but I'm also a sucker for that classic lofty space and that truly spectacular roofdeck. The location is OK, actually -- this end of Bway is pretty happening at all hours, not abandoned as it was several years ago. That's still a lotta dough, though!

great space. a bit high for south burg altho with diner right down the street maybe it's worth it.

No closets and no bedroom, nice. Love the area but the layout sucks.

1:33 Those spaces next door to the right are vacant. The sister building (aka Best Upholstery) is in the early process of conversion to condos from what I hear. The plumbing company to the far right moved out over a year ago when the building it occupied, including the adjacent property to the far, far right (just see the tip at top of photo) was put on the market. The building to the left is a beautiful building in semi-disrepair with artist lofts. Yes, some still exist in Williamsburg. Broadway was once a grand thoroughfare and has some amazing, old buildings. Unfortunately, some of the newer buildings are of the worst quality imaginable.

the interior is awesome. one of the better williamsburg condos ive seen.

its an awful lot of money for south williamsburg though.

the area is perfectly fine, even at 1 AM - across the street from Dressler, near Peter Luger's, Diner, Marlowe & Sons, the Gretsch Building and the Smith Gray Building.

also close to the JMZ (probably a 4 minute walk).

it should trade near whatever the recent comps are in the Gretsch Building.

It says 2 beds, but there are no walls. it is also close to the bridge. that is quite noisy.
I think for this amount of change, you can do better.

What is so great about the area? Except for a few restaurants, nothing much in services unless you count the fast food restaurants by the train stop.Not only do you have to deal with bridge traffic, noone is mentioning that the trains pass by on the bridge as well. Area is quite desolate at night when restaurants close.

great, it's near gretsch and smith gray. what an asset. i can walk over there and compare my overpaid loft to my friends' "comps". then we can all have a chuckle.
