Development Watch: 118 Greenpoint Avenue

118gpointave1007.jpg
When we snapped a photo of 118 Greenpoint Avenue last week, the prospect that it could be a Scarano project never occurred to us. But, sure enough, the 23,000-square-foot conversion is by Mr. S. It'll be divided into 15 units when all's said and done. No word on whether it'll be condos or rentals. Nice outer shell at least. No idea about the interior. GMAP P*Shark DOB

Brownstoner hearts Scarano!

Try to go one month without writing about your beloved.

I was looking at this last week - the cornice looks pretty ridiculous, but is presumably what LPC approved (yes, this is a landmark - in the Greenpoint HD).

Poultry butcher right next door will make it nice and easy to get fresh chicken. Dead chicken smell is great too.
