That is a ridiculously large historic district that consists of many buildings of relatively little significance.

While I'm pleased that it seems to encompass my entire block, landmarking the massive one-story brick parking garage on St Marks off Underhill seems an odd preservation choice. Then again, parking in this neighborhood is a bitch, so I guess preserving the SUV-space of future generations could be seen as some sort of priority.

This place will be worthless after AY is built.
Oh, wait a minute...

Is it possible just to landmark the whole city and be done with it? How about downzoning everything except where people work and convert that space to residential with an upzoning for "affordable" housing? Maybe that would make a viable borough wide political campaign.
