Streetlevel: Uva Wines Outgrows the Mini-Mall

When we lived in Williamsburg, one of our favorite things about the neighborhood was the Mini Mall's one-two punch of the Bedford Cheese Shop and Uva Wines. A year ago, the cheese mongers moved a block south to Bedford and North 4th to the old Clovis Bookstore location. Now, the wine store, which specializes in affordable wines from smaller producers, is moving into a bigger space one block north at Bedford and North 6th Street, taking over what used to be the store Spatial. According to an email that went out over the weekend, the new location could open its doors as early as today or tomorrow. GMAP

I don't know that the developer planned it this way, but I like the concept of the mini-mall acting like a business incubator.
