Launching a pre-emptive strike to the likely negative posts about Home Buying for Hipsters. Although I was initially embarrassed by the title of the seminar, I went to the last one anyway, and found it to be incredibly helpful and informative. There were a lot of basic things about the process of buying a home that had mystified me, and it was great to be able to ask questions to a mortgage broker, RE broker, and RE lawyer all in one context, without being made to feel like an ignoramus. I was pre-approved shortly after the seminar and have been actively searching for a brownstone since, and using the lawyer and brokers from the seminar. So it may be a marketing ploy, but it works. Also they have free beer!

Eve and Leigh are the brokers who came up with the idea. Eve's phone number is (347) 526-1383.

Is the free beer appropriately ironic--like, say, Point or PBR?

If I remember correctly, it was Miller High Life. Reading irony into it is up to you. "I saved a down-payment by drinking nothing but Miller for a year!"
