Carroll Gardens Town Hall Meeting
The Carroll Gardens group CORD, which has called for a moratorium on neighborhood construction projects until expansion of its historic district and rezoning are considered, will take part in a meeting with Council Member Bill de Blasio. The meeting will address a number of issues, including the controversial development at 360 Smith Street, CORD's petition calling for the building moratorium, and a discussion of rezoning and landmarking in Carroll Gardens. The meeting is not to be confused with the council member's open house.
Bill de Blasio Open House
Bring your questions and concerns to New York City Council Member Bill de Blasio (District 39) at this event sponsored by Friends of Fire Fighters. BBQ-style refreshments will be served. Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Bill de Blasio's district office, 2907 Ft. Hamilton Parkway.

A moratorium on construction would be totally illegal and therefore would never, ever happen. To call for one is highly naive, at best.

What is a "BBQ-style" refreshment? That's got a scary, post-modern quality to it, like "authentic reproduction."
