NY Philharmonic in Prospect Park
Tonight, the New York Philharmonic, under conductor Ludovic Morlot, presents a free concert in Prospect Park. Part of the orchestra's 43rd annual Concerts in the Parks series, the performance will feature works by Berlioz, Mendelssohn, and Tchaikovsky. Fireworks are to follow. 8:00 p.m. Long Meadow Ballfield in Prospect Park. Enter at Prospect Park West and Ninth Street or Bartel-Pritchard Square. (212) 875-5709.
Tiny Cup Opening
Tiny Cup, a new Bed Stuy coffee house (that we wrote about here), has its grand opening today. It's located on the corner of Nostrand Avenue and Clifton Place.

Turned out to be a beautiful evening...
We brought along our donation for the food bank, enjoyed the superb concert,
joyful atmosphere, and afterwards, fireworks that took everyone's breath away!
