The NYT article on the sub-prime mortgage sphere fall-out got the description of what a CDO *is* (a security, not a fund) completely wrong -surprisingly ignorant coverage for the NY Times.

Re: privatizing Manhattan Beach: "bordering on racism"? This is one of the most racist things I have seen in a long time. If you want a private beach, move to Jersey and pay those taxes--and, before anyone says it, the beaches at Breezy and Seagate are not private. The residents may not want you to know that, but the waterfront is public property.
