Slope's Egg Roll Building Deep Fried

5thavefire.jpg
The photo of this burned out building on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope got us curious so we started poking around the web. Turns out the root of the problem was a March 27th fire that gutted the upper floors of the building. Some more googling led to the discovery of an address: 108 5th Avenue on the corner of Baltic. Did any of you witness the fire? Is the cause known? What's going to happen with the building?

I read that this happened the same night as the fire on Remsen Street that was started by the hoarder tenant.
The Fire Dept. was busy that night.

this is old news but I can tell you we smelled the fire before we knew where it was coming from!

I read in a local newspaper that they believe it was caused by a faulty television, scary.

It was an electrical fire. Building looks like frame construction with faux brick facade.

isn't "faulty television" a redundant term
