this is what I asked yesterday....158 Montague St- Descript of what sold does not match the building at that address.
Obviously not a newly constructed, doorman bldg with gym.

this can't be correct. maybe it's 58 montague which is the brooklein and has a doorman (not new construction but would certainly command the 1.2M price being right on the promenade. the photo you show looks like Monty Q's restaurant on montague st!

The NYT probably meant to print newly-renovated. There aren't any newly constructed buildings on Montague.

Yes, that is Monty's. Could it be that units are already being sold in the renovated bank on Montague & Clinton?

what do people think is a fair price/sf in this part of Clinton Hill in a full service building?

This is a pizzeria. The modern highrise with a doorman is on the next block east. It has a Garden of Eden food market on the ground floor. It was built about four years ago, and is about 24 stores tall.

That's not it either -- that's 180 Montague, a rental building built by Bruce Eichner and sold to Archstone last year -- maybe it will eventually be converted to condos but not yet.

Can't be the Brukelyn (or however it's spelled); that's co-op, not condo. Turns out that it's the agent, Brooklyn Heights Real Estate, that's at 158 Montague. No idea where the apt is; not a whole lot of new construction in the nabe.
