Brooklyn Vegan Wins a Proggy from PETA

9vegan.jpgNo, it's not that Brooklyn Vegan — it's the Post-Punk Kitchen co-host and Brooklyn-based author Isa Moskowitz who's getting a 2007 Proggy (short for "progress") for her cookbook, Vegan With a Vengeance. Joan Jett's enthusiastic quote on the back cover reads, "This fun and creative book is delicious for people like me, who don’t eat pets." For those of you who are into vegan or vegetarian cooking, we'd like to share a couple of great vegetarian recipes blogs from Brooklyn-based cooks. In you're a greenmarket fan, you've got to check out Produce Stories, a journal of recipes prepared with seasonal vegetables and fruits. We also love Vanesscipes, a collection of simple, one-dish vegetarian meals.
