Blue Star Chef Resurfaces in the Slope

Marc "Fish" Elliott, chef and former proprietor of Whim, Blue Star, and Nosh in Cobble Hill, has a new gig coming up in Park Slope. Starting this Sunday, he'll be taking over for Alfredo Duarte as executive chef at Black Pearl. He'll be putting his twist on all of the existing dishes, and he may be adding some old customer favorites from Blue Star to the Black Pearl menu in the future. Those who've been to his restaurants in the past will recall his habit of blasting the Grateful Dead in the dining room, but this time around (for better or for worse), Jerry Garcia won't leave the confines of his downstairs kitchen.
UPDATE: Looks like the Chef Marc/Black Pearl deal is on hold for now. (Sorry, guys.) We don't have the details yet, but stay tuned for more information.
Black Pearl is located at 833 Union Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.

Maybe his restaurants would do better if "Chef Marc" spent more time in the kitchen.

I'm with Anonymous 2:13. Marc's a nice guy, when he's not in your face.

Fact check:
Whim- yes, proprietor
Blue Star- no, not proprietor
Nosh- no, not proprietor
God help Park Slope if this man ever leaves the kitchen. Its amazing how his reputation precedes him.
I'm scared.
