Waddup at 166 Carlton?
Anyone know what the plan is at 166 Carlton Avenue? As of now, the owner only has permits for the garbage chute and the scaffolding; no development plans filed. The place screams "conversion" to us though. GMAP DOB

i live across the street from this building. it has been this way for over 2 years, and is not a conversion. it has been and is going to continue to be a warehouse. i don't know who owns, my neighbor thinks it is some Hasidic guys. it's too bad, could be a nice conversion, but the just love their warehouse, i guess.

I too used to live across the street, it was owned by some hasidic guys and I am sure that they developed it to convert into condo. too much effort for an old warehouse. I am sure that they are waiting to switch the zoning

if a conversion was likely, why would they just recently install a new garage door on the loading dock?

I live on the block and have inquired a few times; although conversion seems the logical thing, the foreman & crew has consistently said that they are rehabbing the warehouse. The owners are Hasidic.

Why does it matter that the owners are Hasidic?
