Much Ado on Formerly Dead Stretch of Grand

The block of Grand Avenue between Myrtle and Park hasn't exactly been a destination spot in the past (in fact, we'd never set foot on it until last weekend), but that should soon change with the advent of three new developments on the block, one conversion and two new-builds. We know nothing about any of them. Do you? GMAP

Come on Mr. B...don't be coy. Even you within a "NY minute" (sheat, second) know who's iconoclastic style that black brick baby is...

Again, yet another wonderful addition to our Boro.

We no nothing either.

Well, it did occur to us that Mr. S might be behind the top one...

Top one screams Mr. S.
(although I like most of his designs - just not his 'getting around' city bldg regs and sometimes the location of his bldgs)

The conversion looks like the best of the bunch to me. Also, I think there may be more building on this street soon, there are 2 other large vacant lots that have been graded on that side of the street and I have seen hard hats meeting around them, and an industrial business has surprisingly just moved out of a nice red brick bldng next to one of them. Who knew this stretch of Grand would become home to so many condos?

All three of these have been sitting with no apparent progress for at least six months. Either way, they're an eyesore.
