Clearing the Decks on North 11th

development
Fearless photoblogger justiNYC sent along this photo last night. "This wasn't like this three days ago," he writes. "They must've knocked down the one-story building that used to be there sometime in the last couple of day." Who knows what lies in store for this plot. At least they'll be able to say "church views" when they are marketing the obligatory luxury condos that are bound to sprout up here.GMAP

wow, those houses/mansions, in the background look spectacular, like something that you'd find on Clinton Ave or somewhere in Crown Heights. Any more photos of those.

those buildings are the "Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Our Lord" and the church's rectory.

i believe that the tear-down was of the crummy lean-to building that was used as a body (chop) shot, so, no big whoop.
