Development Watch: 270 Greene Avenue

construction
A reader nicely dropped us an email to update us on the fact that work has finally started at 270 Greene Avenue on the Eastern edge of Clinton Hill. This is slated to be a four-story residential building with six apartments. No word yet on whether it'll be condo or rental. GMAP BIS

Maybe they should just stop construction and leave them as handball courts

Lots' of development on that block. I live nearby and its like a construction zone. There's that new, ugly building on Greene close to the corner of Grand. There's another new building a few doors down on the same side of the street. Then now this one? The blocks on teh other sides of Grand and CLasson are very nice. I hope these buildings will be nice. There are some nice spots on that block, but it needs a clean-up.

ditto. this project in particular scares me. it's prime real estate realy, just happens to lie one block out of the historic district. i go by it everyday and have a number of reasons for thinking its another cheapo. hope i'm wrong.
