Minerva Hearing: Headed for Rejection?

So far, developers of South Slope properties have gone four for five in their efforts to have the BSA grandfather their projects under the old zoning rules, the only consolation to residents being the fact that the one that was denied--Isaac Katan's 182 15th Street--was also the largest proposal. One of the two remaining properties (and arguably the highest profile of the seven) is the 614 7th Avenue, where Scarano has designed a 7-story building that would block the view of the Minerva sculpture atop Battle Hill in adjacent Greenwood Cemetery. The BSA held another hearing for the property where the almost comical shenanigans of the developers' attorneys were on full display. A hearing on the final property that has become known as Lake Windsor is slated for next week.
