At Least One Buyer for High End B-stones

After our discussion two weeks ago of the price cut at 535 1st Street and the implications for the high-end market, we were interested to see that 315 Garfield had recently gone into contract. Asking $3.6 million, the 26-foot-wide park block mansion looks to be in much better shape than the 1st Street property. It would be very interesting to know how close to the asking price the Garfield place went for. Anyone know?

Interesting contrast to yesterday's HOTD at same asking price.

man, I would love to be able to afford this house. Makes me very jealous. at least this looks like you pay $3.6 million, but you get quality stuff in return. A+ location, A+ building, A+ neighborhood.
This is in stark contrast to some of the other $hit that's out there at those prices.

fo sho. These days it's like if it's a brownstone it's automatically $2.5 million and above, the skanky condition and chopped up layout don't matter a bit. If a house is in gorgeous condition I can totally see why it would sell for $3.5
